EPPD: Teen choked, robbed, then hit other teen in face with handgun

A teenager accused of punching, choking, then robbing another teen near Bel-Air High School, has been arrested.

Police arrested 17-year-old Alejandro Baca after they said he robbed an 18-year-old man during lunch. Baca faces aggravated robbery charges.

A preliminary investigation found that Baca and the victim walked to a home on the 900 block of Lariat Wednesday before noon.

While at the home, Baca allegedly demanded that the victim give him cash that the victim had on his person.

Police said Baca began to punch and choke the teen, taking $280 dollars from him. Baca then allegedly pulled out a handgun and began hitting the victim in the face with the gun.

The victim then fled.

Baca was arrested by EPPD’s Gang Unit. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
