NMSU to host 32nd Annual Career Expo

New Mexico State University is hosting the 32nd annual Career Expo Sept 20 and 21.

Career Services is hosting the event that will be in the Corbett Center Student Union third floor ballrooms.

While both days are open to students in all majors, Sept. 21 will focus on computer science, engineering, life/physical science, mathematics and technology. Additionally, the College of Engineering is co-sponsoring the Career Expo Social from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Klipsch Museum in the Foreman Engineering Complex.

In addition to NMSU students, the Career Expo is open to the public and students from other institutions in the region.

The Career Expo allows students from all academic majors to meet and network with employers from a variety of career fields. The event gives employers the chance to discuss internships, cooperative education positions and professional employment, while students benefit from a convenient job search that includes 129 employers who have registered.

Participants are encouraged to research potential employers, dress professionally and bring several copies of their resume. Participants are also encouraged to create an AggieCAREER Manager account on the Career Services website at http://careerservices.nmsu.edu to find information on employers, create resumes and review campus interview schedules that occur during the Career Expo.
