Court document: Man accused of murdering wife asked her to shoot him
Jose Rosales, 68, was charged with murder in the death of his wife, Linda. He allegedly shot her after an argument Saturday night at their home on the 10000 block of Donna Marie Drive in Socorro.
According to the complaint affidavit, Rosales retrieved a gun from his night stand and told his wife to shoot him. When she refused, he allegedly pointed the gun at her and shot her in the chest. She was taken to a hospital, where she died.
Rosales told investigators he didn’t know the gun was load and that he shot her accidentally. He was arrested and booked at the El Paso County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
