Veterans return after Honor Flight

Dozens of veterans are back home after the trip of a lifetime over the weekend to Washington D.C.

The veterans had served in various wars ranging from World War II through the Vietnam War. For some veterans, it was the first time they had ever seen the memorials erected in the nation’s capital in their honor.

Music filled El Paso International Airport as the veterans returned home on Sunday. Congressman Beto O’Rourke, along with other citizens were holding signs were also on hand to welcome them home.

The trip was the 9th mission for Honor Flight of Southern New Mexico.
