EPCSO 7th annual Haunted House scares for a good cause
With Halloween just around the corner some might decide to skip the Monday night trick or treating.
There are plenty of things to do including haunted houses.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office opened it’s haunted doors for ABC-7 Saturday evening.
The sheriff’s office tells ABC-7 the haunted house has a little bit of everything from zombies to scary clowns, the exorcist, Jason and a terrifying Leatherface from the movie the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Officials tell ABC-7 there are about 40 volunteers from the sheriffs office and local high schools that dress up to scare the wits out of everyone and it also allows sheriffs to have an action packed haunted house with something popping out of every corner.
Officials with the sheriffs office say the best part of it all is that the proceeds go to their Young Explorers program.
“It’s a program that allows kids between the ages of 14 and 21 to experience law enforcement and connect with mentors involved in law enforcement, ” said Sergeant Michael Lara.
The haunted house is located at 3850 Justice off of Loop 375 and Montana.
