There will be a “bad ass beard” contest.
$10 to register which will all be donated to our cause.
Pre-registration will be on the day of the event from 7pm to 9pm at 5 Points Bistro.
The beard contest will be judged by 3 judges.

“Helping Helmets” for sale to benefit the SAW!!
An exhibition of artwork created by students and volunteer artists participating in the Soldier Art Workshops.
Helmets painted by talented artists for sale. Free and open to the public. On display through Wednesday, November 30 at the IMA.

This weekend we start our Refried Comedy show series to benefit the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
Friday Night we will be in Las Cruces, and 2 shows in El Paso on Saturday Night. Tickets are only $12.

EL PASO PARKS AND RECREATION HOSTS VETERANS DAY EVENTS
The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department is honoring veterans by hosting two separate events on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11.
The Happiness Senior Center, located at 563 N. Carolina Dr., will have a Veterans Day celebration starting at 10 a.m.
The Pat O’Rourke Recreation Center, 901 N. Virginia St., will host a Veterans Day event from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Family members or friends of Veterans are encouraged to drop off a picture of a Veteran they may know that can be posted at the Center on a Veterans themed bulletin board.

ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE CINEMA MONTECILLO PRESENTS:
Free movies before 5pm for Veterans on Veterans Day at Alamo Drafthouse Montecillo
Veterans and active military can redeem their free ticket by visiting the box office and presenting their military ID or proof of service any time in advance of a screening.
This offer is valid for any film playing before 5pm on November 11th and can only be redeemed at the box office (not valid for advanced ordering online).

STUDENTS HONOR EL PASO VETERANS WITH SPECIAL CHAPEL SERVICE
Students from St. Clement’s Parish School will honor service members on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m. during a special chapel service.
Music includes an Orchestra Quartet and a Choral Ensemble. The service will be led by Father John Dixon, a Vietnam Veteran.
Guests will receive memorial poppies in honor of the country’s service men and women.

Ceremony starts at 11 a.m. Friday at Parque de Veteranos, at the corner of Calle de Norte and Avenida de Mesilla.

NORTHEAST EL PASO VETERANS DAY PARADE
The 13th annual parade starts 10 a.m. Friday at Stahala and Hondo Pass and ends at Old Glory Memorial at Diana and Kenworthy.
A community flag-raising ceremony will be held at Old Glory Memorial after the parade.

LAS CRUCES VETERANS DAY PARADE
The parade will start at 11 a.m. on Friday and will loop around Main and Water streets.

AMERICAN LEGION CELEBRATION
American Legion Eastwood Post 36, 3730 Shell St., will have its Veterans Day celebration from 7 p.m. to midnight on Friday.
A drawing will benefit American Legion Boys State. Exito will provide music starting at 8 p.m.

DOWNTOWN EL PASO VETERANS DAY PARADE:
The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Myrtle and Campbell, travels through Downtown El Paso and finishes at Texas and Florence.
The reviewing area will be at Campbell and San Antonio.
Airborne open house: The local chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division Association will have an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at its clubhouse, 2608 Fort Blvd. Information: 240-8104 or JohCeb@msn.com
