Free flu shots for uninsured adults in December

The El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) is once again teaming up with the El Paso Health Department to provide free flu shots this month for uninsured people and for those on Medicaid.

The Vaccinations for Health program will also provide blood pressure and glucose screenings, colorectal screening kits for patients 50 and over and pneumonia vaccines for those 65 and older.

The program will all be held at the EPFD Safety, Health Outreach Center, 5415 Trowbridge Dr. on Dec. 7, 14, and 21 from 1-6 p.m..

The program is FREE to residents in El Paso and Hudspeth counties who are 18 and over and do not have medical insurance or are on Medicaid. The health department is encouraging residents who meet these guidelines to take advantage of the program. The goal is to increase the wellness of the community who do now have access to these services.
