LCPD warn of suspicious perfume salesmen; women feel faint or lightheaded when sampling
The Police Department is warning residents about a pair of suspicious men who claim to be soliciting perfume in commercial parking lots.
Two men allegedly approached women at gas stations and commercial parking lots asking if they are interested in sampling and purchasing perfumes.
When the women smell the perfume, they became dizzy and felt faint, police said.
The men reportedly became disorderly with those who refuse to sample or purchase the perfumes, police added.
LCPD is not aware of any legitimate traveling salesmen who are soliciting perfume and believe the techniques employed by these salesmen may be an attempt to harm unsuspecting customers.
Police described the suspects as African American men seen in an older-model, Charcoal gray car with Nevada plates.
