Horizon PD: Man fires gun at girlfriend’s TV after arguing over country music video

Police arrested a man who shot his girlfriend’s television over an argument regarding a country music video playing on the screen.

Officers arrested Larry Barry Andrews, 43, and charged him with Deadly Conduct, a third degree felony.

Police arrived at the home on the 14000 block of Desert Point Dr. at about 4:40 a.m. Friday after receiving a call about a gun being fired inside a home.

A woman told officers her boyfriend fired a Colt 45 at the television after they got into a “heated discussion” over the music video.

Police say no one was injured. The round was found lodged outside the home in a metal fence and police seized the handgun.

If convicted, Andrews faces up to 10 years in prison. He could also be ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.
