Sheriff’s office investigating county shooting

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting in West El Paso County.

Officials said the shooting happened on the 800 block of Westway Boulevard. Christopher Gonzalez, 27, is being investigated for shooting a 26-year-old woman.

An aggravated assault with a deadly weapon warrant has been issued for the arrest of Gonzalez with a $50,000 bond.

The investigation is underway.
