Man wanted in Westway shooting arrested in Las Cruces
The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting in the Northwest El Paso County colonia of Westway.
The shooting happened on the 800 block of Westway on February 11, 2017.
Christopher Gonzalez, 26, was recently arrested at a hotel located 2100 block of Summit Court in Las Cruces.
He was booked into the Dona Ana Detention Facility and is pending extradition to El Paso on a charge of
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
A woman with Gonzalez at the time, 27-year-old Melissa Curiel, was also arrested and is awaiting extradition to El Paso on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
