AT&T once again says wireless service has been restored
UPDATE: An AT&T spokesman says the carrier’s wireless service is once again up and running in El Paso.
“Wireless service is running normally in the El Paso area following a hardware-related issue. Our engineers worked diligently to restore service. We apologize for this inconvenience,” said Charles Bassett, a Senior Public Relations Manager.
Earlier Friday, Bassett said that as a result of a “hardware-related issue,” some of AT&T’s customers in the El Paso were “experiencing intermittent issues with their wireless service.”

About 20 AT&T service towers in El Paso aren’t working right and are causing outages among its customers.
AT&T told ABC-7 that it doesn’t know when service will be back.
A week ago El Paso customers also experienced outages with AT&T.
A viewer called us and said she started to experience problems at around 7 a.m.

It’s unclear how many customers are affected or what caused the outage.
