Aggies back to winning ways as team tops Seattle U

On a night where two former New Mexico State men’s basketball players were recognized for their induction into the US Bank/NM State Hall of Fame, the Aggies put a complete display of athleticism on both sides of the ball as they torched Seattle U 86-53 in the Pan American Center Saturday night.

NM State (24-5, 10-3 WAC) played the way Aggie fans were accustomed to seeing them during the 20-game winning-stretch on Saturday. The offense only turned the ball over seven times, matching its lowest mark this season for the third time while forcing the Redhawks to commit 14 – nine of which came in the second half.

The Aggies now get a week off before hosting UT Rio Grande Valley for their final game of the regular-season. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (MT) in the Pan American Center as NM State prepares to honor its senior class.
