ABC-7 TRAFFIC ALERT: I-10 will be closed in both directions Sunday morning
Eastbound and westbound Interstate 10 will be closed Sunday, March 5, from 3 a.m. to 12 p.m. in West El Paso.
The closure on I-10 east starts at Mesa Street. You can use Doniphan Drive to Sunland Park Drive as a detour.
Westbound I-10 will be closed at Resler Drive. That off-ramp will take you to a detour on Mesa Street.
El Paso Electric spokesman Eddie Gutierrez said the closures were made in order to upgrade equipment that provides electricity to homes.
“There’s also, during that period of time, distribution work that we will be doing,” said Gutierrez. “At the same time, Time Warner will be replacing their cable.”
