Garth Brooks five-concert series starts Friday

Las Cruces is ready to host thousands of people including its own residents who will fill the Pan American Center to watch country music icon Garth Brooks in concert.

The five-concert series begins Friday at 7p.m. with two shows on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

It has been 21 years since Garth Brooks performed in Las Cruces. Organizers at the Pan Am Center they reached out to Brooks in the summer of 2015.

The shows will be Brooks’ only performances in new mexico.

The Las Cruces Police Department is urging concert-goers to take precaution this weekend and take note of street closures.

LCPD recommends to carpool or use a ride-sharing services like Uber, Lyft or taxicabs. There is a designated lot for drop-off and pick-up, access to the lot will be at University and Locust.

Due to the several shows scheduled, guests are urged to double check their tickets and make sure they are attending the correct show.

Guests who will be attending the 3 p.m. show will be asked to exit the Pan Am immediately so crews can prepare for the evening show.

Most importantly, arrive 30-45 minutes before the show to avoid congestion.
