Police officers involved in collision; possibly escorting Sessions and Kelly to airport

Two El Paso Police Officers were involved in a collision Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened shortly after 3 pm at Franklin and Campbell in Downtown El Paso.

ABC-7 is working to confirm reports the officers were part of the motorcade escorting Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Homeland Security Chief John Kelly to the El Paso International Airport.

Witnesses tell ABC-7 the officers were part of the motorcade.

An El Paso Police spokesman will only confirm two officers riding motorcycles were injured at the scene of the collision.
