LCPD: Man barricades himself during SWAT standoff
A man allegedly barricaded himself at an apartment complex in Las Cruces during an hours-long SWAT standoff.
Authorities said they took the suspect into custody just before 5 a.m. on Friday.
A Las Cruces Police Department spokesman told ABC-7 it started at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said officers were serving an arrest warrant and that they weren’t sure if the suspect was armed.
It’s happened at the Dona Ana Park Apartments on the 1900 block of N. Solano Dr.
Authorities evacuated apartment tenants for safety.
