Elderly woman in critical condition after bee attack in Far East EP
An 80-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was stung multiple times by bees, El Paso Fire Department Captain James Younger.
Firefighters responded to the bee attack on the 3000 block of Cascade Point at about 2:58 pm.
Younger said the woman was found in the backyard by her own daughter, also stung by bees.
Paramedics rushed the woman to Sierra Providence, Younger said.
Firefighters did not provide an update on the condition of the victim’s daughter.
Younger said firefighters discovered a hive in the backyard and sprayed the bees with foam. They also discovered poison in the backyard, meaning the elderly woman may have been trying to kill the bees.
