6-year-old child one of two victims flown to UMC following crash on US 54
New Mexico State Police are investigating a crash that injured two people, including a young child, confirmed a spokesperson with the agency.
The crash happened Tuesday around 5:08 p.m. at mile post 111 on US 54. That is near Oscura, New Mexico, between Carrizozo and Tularosa.
Officials said a person and a 6-year-old child were flown to University Medical Center in El Paso. The child is said to have non-life threatening injuries. The status of the other person is unknown.
The area has been closed as NMSP investigate.
