Man accused of stalking ex arrested after following victim to police station
Las Cruces Police arrested a Texas man accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend after the man allegedly followed the victim to a police station.
Lucien Charles McLean, 47, was charged with aggravated stalking, violation of a court order, aggravated stalking with a deadly weapon and violating a restraing order.
Police say that in between May 6 and May 20, 2017, McLean, while in jail, violated a temporary restraining order by calling the woman 14 times.
Police also learned that on May 11th McLean was found hiding in bushes at the woman’s residence in Las Cruces.
After being released from jail the following day, McLean tried contacting the woman by telephone, police said.
On May 20th, police were informed McLean, driving a pickup, allegedly followed the woman as she rode in the passenger seat of a friend’s car.
The woman called 911 and made her way to the Las Cruces Police Department. Police officers detained McLean when they witnessed him driving nearby.
Police determined McLean was armed with a handgun after being detained.
