UPDATE: Body of man sought by Border Patrol found in canal
The El Paso Fire Department confirms the third man seen by Border Patrol in the canal has been found.
The incident was reported in the American canal around 9:40 a.m. Sunday.
Border Patrol agents told ABC-7 they spotted three men in the canal, near the Border Highway and Fonseca.
Officials said they were able to apprehend two of the men, but could not get the third.
The missing man’s body was found near Socorro Sunday evening.
The water rescue team will recover the body.
