Danny Green visits fans at El Paso Children’s Hospital

El Paso, TX – San Antonio Spurs player Danny Green visited El Paso Children’s Hospital Friday as he met fans, signed autographs, and spread cheer.

“I just like to lift spirits man, that’s the biggest thing” Green said. “Keep encouraging as much as possible, give them the strength because so many things can happen with strong faith and strong hope.”

Brandon Rodriquez, who was born and raised in San Antonio, and his mother reached out to Green’s camp on Facebook with the idea to visit the hospital.

“It was real sudden and a big surprise for me,” Rodriquez said. “I’ve been a Spurs fan since the day I was born, so this is like a dream come true.”

While Green came to lift the children’s sprits, the El Paso fans boosted his as well.

“Every time we come here there’s a lot of loving fans who are amazing and great and show a lot of love,” Green said.

Green isn’t just boosting morale while in El Paso, he also has his own basketball camp going on July 8 and 9 at Parkland High School.

The camps start at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m.

Boys and girls ages 8-17 are welcome to join, and it’s not too late to register.

Each camper will get a Danny Green Camp T-shirt, and autograph a photo with the Spurs player.
