Pro Duranguito protestors march to City Hall

Tuesday’s El Paso City Council meeting has resumed after a brief recess.

Dozens of Pro-Duranguito protestors marched from the Duranguito neighborhood to city hall early Tuesday morning.

ABC-7’s Stephanie Guadian reports the protestors became unruly during the meeting inside city hall.

The protestors ignored Mayor Dee Margo’s request for civility.

Many of them carried posters and placards that read “Save Duranguito” and “Honk for Duranguito”.

The marchers headed to city hall where they held an impromptu press conference asking El Paso city council members to not allow the demolition of any homes or buildings in the Duranguito neighborhood.
