Aaron Jones rushes for 131 yards and a TD, but Packers fall short

Aaron Jones rushed for a career-high 131 yards and a touchdown against the Saints on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough as New Orleans beat Green Bay by a final of 26-17.

Jones ran for 125 yards two weeks ago in a win over Dallas – a mark that stood as his previous high.

The former UTEP running back also set a new mark for the longest single run of his career when he broke free for a 46-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

Jones recorded his 131 yards on only 17 carries, averaging nearly eight yards per attempt.

He also added three catches for a total of seven yards.

UTEP’s all-time leading rusher has now carried the ball at least 13 times in each of the last four games for Green Bay.

The Packers fell to 4-3 with the loss while the Saints improved their record to 4-2.
