Police rule Northeast suspicious death a murder, no arrests

Police are investigating an early morning murder in Northeast El Paso,

Police responded to a call about a fight in progress around 1 a.m. Saturday at a home in the 5000 block of Pikes Peak Drive.

Police said they found an unresponsive man with injuries to his head. The 36-year-old victim was taken to UMC, where he later died.

Officials say the preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was assaulted and died as a result of his injuries.

Crimes against Persons detectives are investigating.

No arrests have been made.
