Denver Broncos add former UTEP head coach Sean Kugler to staff
The Denver Broncos have hired former UTEP head coach Sean Kugler, multiple sources confirmed Wednesday.
Kugler will become the team’s offensive line coach. He has previously been an O-line coach with the Steelers, Bills, and Lions.
The Broncos fired six coaches on Monday, including their previous offensive line coach. Denver surrendered 52 sacks this season, tied for third-most in the NFL.
Kugler first interviewed for the job only one day before he was hired, according to multiple reports.
Kugler returns to the pro game after four-plus seasons as the head coach of the Miners.
He resigned five games into his fifth season with the team after a loss to Army and was temporarily replaced by interim coach Mike Price.
The Miners have since hired Dana Dimel to be the next permanent head coach of UTEP.
