Former radio DJ ‘Magic’ Mike has died

A longtime voice on local radio airwave has died.

Mike Ramsey, known as ‘Magic’ Mike, passed away on Sunday, according to KVIA’s sister radio station KLAQ.

The El Paso Times reports that he worked at KLAQ from the late 1970s to 2003 and served as the program director from 1997 to the end of his time at the station.

His brother told the Times that after leaving radio, he designed homes, and that he had recently been suffering from an unspecified illness.

He was 68.
