Gang unit makes five arrests for various charges

Five El Paso men were arrested at the 3700 block of Keltner by a police gang unit on Thursday for various charges and two weapons were also allegedly seized.

Police say 23-year-old Dejean Albert was arrested for possession of cocaine and a traffic warrant. Dominique Elliot, 21, was arrested for an alleged outstanding warrant for assault. According to police, 20-year-old Jeffery Adams was arrested for the offense of registration required, while 20-year-old Khalil Downey was arrested for three outstanding traffic warrants and 21-year-old Gregg Phillips for two outstanding traffic warrants.

Police say the seizure of the two weapons continues to be investigated.
