EPPD: Man arrested after making threats with axe, sledgehammer
A man was arrested after he made threats near Nolan Richardson Middle School, according to El Paso police.
Police tweeted just after 8 a.m. a man was using an axe and a sledgehammer to make the threats, but officers on the scene told us they don’t know what kind of item or items he was using.
Authorities said the man was at a balcony.
Authorities said the man barricaded himself at a home on the 11300 block of Loma Linda, which is across the school.
El Paso School District officials said the school was on lockout after the incident. It has been opened.
There are no reported injuries.
