EPPD charges 5 men in violent home invasion

El Paso Police arrested and charged five men in connection to a violent home invasion and burglary in northeast El Paso.

The burglary was reported at 12:20 am on Saturday January 2, 2018 at 9960 McCombs.

Khalil Downey, 20; Xavier White, 22; Dejean Albert, 23; Andrew Wells, 19; and Dominique Elliot, 21, allegedly worked together to rob and assault the victims.

The men allegedly kicked in the front door of a victim’s apartment and discharged rounds from a handgun at the victims, police said.

The victims were only identified as a 24-year-old male, a 23-year-old female and two male children, ages 4 and 2. Police did not clarify wether the victims were wounded.

All five men were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, burglary of a habitation and three counts each of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

All five were booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds of more than $200,000. Elliot’s bond was set at $338,000.
