Will Hernandez set to compete at All-Star Football Challenge

Former UTEP offensive lineman Will Hernandez is one of only 24 players competing in the 2018 State Farm All-Star Football Challenge on Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

You can catch Hernandez in action that day at 7:00 p.m. MST on ESPN2.

The 24 players will be divided into six teams consisting of four players each that will compete in a variety of skill challenges.

The teams will be based on conference affiliation. There will be one team for each of the Power Five conferences (Pac-12, Big 10, Big 12, ACC, and SEC).

Meanwhile, Hernandez will compete for a “Wild Card” team representing all non-Power Five conferences. Hernandez will be joined by Logan Woodside (QB, Toledo), Marcus Davenport (DE, UTSA) and Cedric Wilson (WR, Boise State) in the competition Friday.

Hernandez also represented UTEP at the Senior Bowl on Saturday and drew praise for his dominant performances at practice during the week.

Hernandez left UTEP as one of the team’s most-decorated players having been named to multiple All-America teams his senior season in addition to earning a spot on the Conference USA First Team.
