Serious and funny ads await Super Bowl viewers

As Super Bowl Sunday rapidly approaches, there are some people who are anticipating the commercials more than the action on the field.

Several companies are whetting the appetites of ad fans by releasing them on the Internet days in advance of the big game.

As has become an annual tradition, Anheuser-Busch InBev is using its time and dollars to create what it hopes is an inspirational ad. This year, the King of Beers intends to use the Super Bowl to highlight its efforts to provide more than 79 million cans of clean drinking water in response to natural disasters, highlighting the real company workers.

On the lighter side, Pringles is advertising for the first time during the Super Bowl. The 30-second ad stars Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader and explores what the company calls “flavor stacking.”

And M&M’s released a preview of its commercial. If you like Danny DeVito and pools of chocolate, you may appreciate where this one is going.
