Man assaulted in Central El Paso dies; no suspects in custody

A man assaulted in mid-February died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the attack, police said.

Fabian Diaz, 47, was assaulted at about 1:30 am on February 19, 2018.

When police arrived at the 3500 block of McKinley, officers found Diaz with injuries to his head and body.

Diaz was transported to University Medical Center where he remained in in the intensive care until until his death on February 24, 2018.
