El Paso Chihuahuas win Wednesday over Salt Lake Bees

The El Paso Chihuahuas are hoping to end their series against the Salt Lake Bees with a winning record Thursday after winning 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon.

Shane Peterson’s solo home run broke an eighth-inning tie at Southwest University Park, making the team’s record 5-2 on the season. The Bees fall to 3-4.

Here are more stats from the team:

– The Chihuahuas trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth when Javy Guerra lined a two-run homer over the center field wall

– Guerra had nine home runs last season and already has a team-leading three this year

– Luis Urias went 3-for-5, falling a triple shy of a cycle; Urias has reached base in all six of his games played this year

– The Chihuahuas have now come back in the sixth inning or later to win in both of their day games this season
