Kind-hearted stranger pays for fourteen prom dinners in Las Cruces

A kind-hearted stranger picked up the tab for fourteen Las Cruces teenagers attending prom.

“They said, ‘Oh, there’s no bill. and I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ Jackson Williams told ABC-7.

Williams asked Michelle Roybal, a senior at Centennial High School, to be his prom date.

“It was so amazing,” Roybal said. “It was my first time being asked by a boy.”

Roybal’s dress was a gorgeous, deep blue.

“I was so excited, Roybal said. “I love dressing up.”

Fourteen teenagers in total attended the dinner at St. Clair Winery and Bistro, easily racking up at least a $300 bill.

“That would be incredibly expensive,” said Mike Whiteside, the manager of the restaurant. “What a true blessing that is to have that kind of patrons come in here and join us, taking care of those young people.”

“I’m like, ‘Wait, who paid for it?'” asked Luke Williams, Jackson’s brother. “And (the server) said, ‘I’m not allowed to tell you.'”

“Whoever you are, just know that we’re all grateful and we very much appreciate it,” said Jenna Groves, Luke’s date. “Thank you for making a night with my friends one to remember.”
