NFL Draft Day Today: UTEP’s Will Hernandez to be selected in one of first rounds
The 2018 NFL Draft is tonight in Dallas and is rumored to be a night all about the quarterback.
But one of the Borderland’s best is said to be selected in one of the first two rounds.
Offensive lineman Will Hernandez played at UTEP and has said he doesn’t care which of the 32 teams takes him.
“You know, I honestly don’t mind playing for any of the 32 teams,” Hernandez told the Las Vegas Sports Network. “You know, there’s a lot I can’t control and I can’t pick who I’m going to. So, the fact I can’t control that, I’m cool with going to whatever team wants to pick me up.”
If Hernandez does get picked in the top 40, he will become the highest draft pick from UTEP since the Oakland Raiders selected Thomas Howard 38 overall in 2006.
Running back Aaron Jones, who also played at UTEP, was selected in the 2017 NFL Draft in the fifth round making him the 182 overall pick.
