El Paso man in critical condition after pedestrian collision
El Paso police are investigating a pedestrian accident that occurred near Downtown Sunday morning.
Police say 38-year-old Leandro Casella was traveling west on Montana Ave. and made a right turn onto Mesa Street without yielding and struck a pedestrian crossing the intersection.
The pedestrian, 58-year-old Hector Avila, was transported University Medical Center in critical condition.
Police continue to investigate the incident. Updates will be posted as they become available.
