Texas tops list of best states for businesses

Texas is being recognized for its efforts to attract businesses to the state.

WalletHub.com just named the Lone Star State the best state in the nation for business.

The finance website came to the conclusion after examining things like worker engagement, access to resources and the cost of doing business.

State leaders have often touted Texas’ friendliness to businesses.

Gov. Greg Abbott released a report in January in which he said Texas is the top overall and top tech exporting state, and one of the best states for startups.

In the report, called the Report to the People in Texas, he also said that if Texas were a nation, it would be the 10th largest economy in the world.
