Road to Spaceport America paved after years of delay
The southern road to Spaceport America is now paved, after officials had promised it more than decade ago.
Since 2013, ABC-7 has been reporting on how visitors have been unable to use the gravel road that begins at the Upham exit off I-25.
Visitors are currently forced to go toward Truth or Consequences, then head back south to get to Spaceport America.
Tthe new road is expected to cut about 45 minutes off travel time.
There are some remaining details, like adding signs and striping, before the road can open.
ABC-7 will let you know when the road is ready.
