Border Patrol arrests over the weekend includes two with alleged gang ties
U.S Border Patrol Agents were busy over the past weekend, having arrested 4 undocumented immigrants, including two allegedly willing to speak about their ties with gangs.
Border Patrol Agents from Clint arrested three undocumented immigrants, who were then transported to the Clint Border Patrol Station for processing. Once there, Agents say that one of the three men, Oscar Fabricio Aviles of El Selvador, allegedly freely admitted to being an inactive MS-13 gang member.
An investigation into the criminal records of Aviles showed he had previously been deported from the U.S. for crimes he committed while living in Boston, Massachusetts, including an assault with a dangerous weapon charge.
The previous day an agent near Ft. Hancock was flagged down by local residents to assist with a man in need of medical attention. After the agent assessed the mans condition, 21 year-old Javier Beulna-Contreras was quickly transported to Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso for treatment of extreme dehydration.
Upon release, Contreras was transported to the Ft. Hancock Border Patrol Station, where it was determined he had previously been deported from the U.S. While bring processed as a “Reinstatement of a Prior Order of Removal,” Contreras also allegedly freely admitted to being an active “Paisa” gang member.
Contreras was eventually booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility to await prosecution for re-entry after deportation.
