The UTEP Miners women basketball team took on the NMSU Aggies in the battle of I-10

It was the battle of I-10. This time it was the lady Miner Basketball teams turn to take on the Aggies over at the Don Haskins center this afternoon.

UTEP stat team making sure all the numbers are right at the end of the game.

Second quarter and the Aggies start hot. Dominique Mills on the fast break, lays it in for the easy 2. that put the Aggies up 28 to 15.

Later in the second Aggie Aliyah Prince is going to get picked off by Naydee Ohkwanknee who feeds Alexa hoy who cant get it to drop but that’s ok because Zoozahnuh Puc cleans it up and gets it to drop. Miners now down 28 to 17.

Aggies in control, Mills with the handles, she sees Prince driving to the hole and feeds her with the one handed assist, bucket drops for Prince. 30 to 18 NMSU.

The Miners could’nt get out of the hole they found themselves in in the first quarter. They lose the Battle of I-10, 69 to 65.
