UPDATE: Police report 64th pedestrian killed in northeast El Paso
Police have identified the the pedestrian struck and killed Saturday morning in northeast El Paso as 36-year-old Augustin David Nelson .
The incident happened on the 6600 block of Railroad Drive around 2:30 a.m.
According to police reports, Nelson was struck by a black Honda Accord while he was walking on the northbound lanes of Railroad Drive. The driver of the black Accord left the scene of the accident.
Police say the black Honda Accord is between the model years of 1998 and 2002. The vehicle should have heavy damage to the front left bumper, a broken radiator and is missing the driver’s side mirror.
