DEADLY STABBING: Suspect slashed man’s throat, killed woman after consuming beer and drugs

Detectives with the El Paso Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit charged a 22-year-old man with murder after a deadly stabbing attack in Northeast El Paso.

Police said Torian A. Davis was arrested for the stabbing death of a 25-year-old woman at an apartment unit at 4649 Loma Del Sur. Police have not identified the woman.

The stabbing happened at about 12:25 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018.

Police officers responded to a stabbing call and found the three assault victims and Davis, the suspect.

An investigation allegedly revealed Davis stabbed two other men at the scene. The victims were dentified by police as 21-year-old Anthony Velasco and 23-year-old Jared Abes.

Davis and the female victim were allegedly inside an apartment consuming alcoholic beverages and drugs, police said.

“Without any provocation, Davis slashed Velasco’s throat and then stabbed the female victim,” police said.

Abes had just parked his car in the parking lot when Davis went outside and randomly pummeled him, police said.

The three victims were transported to University Medical Center, where the female victim later died.

Abes remains in the intensive care unit and Velasco was released after being treated.

Davis was placed under arrest but remains admitted at the hospital for a medical condition. Police have not released an arrest photo.
