El Pasoans getting ready with new merchandise for Trump visit
As President Trump’s campaign visit approaches, El Pasoans are getting ready with new merchandise.
The president is set to hold a campaign rally Monday and merchandise is already being bought by those supporting and opposing him.
Everyone has seen the famous Make America Great Again hats, but they won’t be the only piece political of clothing word this next Monday.
Proper Printshop ran an instagram contest asking fans to submit Trump shirt designs.
The winner? A Mexican loteria-style design shows a caricature of an angry Trump, calling him the devil.
Sales started today and dozens of orders have already been submitted.
“Just a few hours ago, actually, the Trump one went live and that one we’ve already seen quite a few orders pouring in,” said Monica Charter from Proper Printshop.
The shop will even open Saturday, when they are normally closed, to sell the shirts.
It’s not just anti-Trump gear.
The El Paso Republican Party, which has been selling “Make America Great Again” and “Keep America Great” hats, told ABC-7 they have run out of merchandise well ahead of the president’s visit.
“We don’t have anything, We have no bumper stickers, we have no MAGA hats, we have no shirts, we don’t have anything,” said Bob Peña with El Paso Republicans.
No permits have been issued by the city yet for sidewalk sales around the rally or protest sites.
