EPISD holds Discover expo to showcase programs

The El Paso Independent School District held it’s second annual Discover EPISD expo Saturday at Bassett Center.

The district uses the expo to showcase the educational progrmas offered at EPISD campuses.

Demonstrations featuring programs such as New Tech, dual language, STEM, technology and art were held.

There was all extracurricular activities on display like mariachi, choir and band.

EPISD spokeswoman Melissa Martinez said, “That’s exactly why we are here today, to reintroduce ourselves to the community, to remind everyone of all the programs we have in EPISD.” She added, “it’s a great one stop shop to see what’s best for your child. “

EPISD is an open enrollment school district, so people do not have to live within the district’s boundries to be able to attend one of its schools.
