Barbie celebrates 60 by kicking off national tour

Barbie is turning 60 this year and is celebrating her milestone with boys and girls across the country.

Mattel is kick-starting the 34-city tour in Arkansas on Barbie’s actual birthday, March 9.

The “Barbie Be Anything Tour” will travel to El Paso on March 30 and 31, setting up meet-and-greets at two Walmart Supercenters.

The tour comes after Mattel introduced several new dolls, set to come out in June, that aim to offer kids more diverse representations of beauty.

The dolls include one in a wheelchair and another with a prosthetic leg.

Visit Barbie at the Walmart on 4530 Woodrow Bean on March 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Then catch her again March 31 at the Walmart Supercenter on 10727 Gateway Blvd W., also from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
