EPPD arrests men accused of mugging man outside Far East EP strip club

Police arrested a pair of suspects accused of mugging a man outside a Far East El Paso strip club, then striking the victim with a vehicle as they fled the scene.

Police charged Francisco Malik Moreno, 22, and Joel Perez, 21, with Robbery.

Offiers responded to a robbery call at Jaguars Gentlemen’s Club at 3:58 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019.

Police said an investigation revealed Moreno and Perez robbed a 62-year-old man of his wallet as he exited the strip club at 11377 Gateway West.

Moreno and Perez entered a vehicle in the parking lot and allegedly struck the victim in the knee as they fled the parking lot.

Investigators identified Moreno and Perez as the individuals allegedly responsible for the robbery and obtained arrest warrants.

Police did not say when Moreno and Perez were arrested. Both men were booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
