City Breaks Ground for New Waterpark & Entertainment Complex

A groundbreaking ceremony for Camp Cohen was held Thursday morning at the site of the old Cohen Stadium in Northeast El Paso.

Camp Cohen will offer the community a unique water experience based on its sporty theme inspired by the local culture and public opinion captured through an extensive outreach process. It is part of the Reimagining Cohen effort.

Water park amenities will include: slides, a lazy river, toddler pool, climbing wall, a lap pool, cabanas, concessions and much more to appeal to people of all ages and abilities.

The project is one of several neighborhood water parks programmed for the community and is part of the City of El Paso’s commitment to enhance our quality of life through the creation of recreational, cultural and educational environments. It’s scheduled to open in the summer of 2020.
