Guillen middle school teacher accused of indecency with child, police say

Detectives with the El Paso Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit arrested and charged an EPISD teacher accused of having an improper relationship with a student.

Police charged Jesus Fernando Sifuentes, 32, was charged with “Indecency with a Child” and “Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.”

Sifuentes is a middle school teacher and coach, police said.

ABC-7 reached out to a spokesman with EPISD to ask where Sifuentes taught and coached. The spokesman told ABC-7 Sifuentes was a teacher at Guillen Middle School.

Sifuentes resigned last week, the spokesman said.

Sifuentes was arrested at his home early Friday morning and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under bonds totaling $100,000.
