(CNN Español) — Gracias a las más recientes misiones hechas en Marte, el conocimiento que hoy tenemos de Marte ha llegado a revelaciones asombrosas de la intimidad del planeta rojo. Estas son algunas.

La NASA difunde los sonidos que emite Marte1. ¿Ronquidos?

La NASA ha logrado captar los sonidos extraños que se escuchan en Marte. Gracias al sismómetro de la sonda Insight –que aterrizó en Marte en noviembre 2018, pero fue hasta abril que captamos sus extraños sonidos–, se pudieron escuchar las vibraciones del planeta rojo. La actividad sísmica puede proveer una imagen interior de un planeta y cómo este se ha formado.

Curiosity Rover’s Self Portrait at ‘John Klein’ Drilling Site, Cropped

This rectangular version of a self-portrait of NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity combines dozens of exposures taken by the rover’s Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) during the 177th Martian day, or sol, of Curiosity’s work on Mars (Feb. 3, 2013).

The rover is positioned at a patch of flat outcrop called “John Klein,” which was selected as the site for the first rock-drilling activities by Curiosity. The self-portrait was acquired to document the drilling site.
